Mascot:
Gazelles

About Gazelles TC:
The Gazelles Track and Field Club was established in Jan. 07, inspired by Godly principles. The club is for youth ages 6 and up. We teach the fundamentals of T&F along with nutritional guidance. We teach teamwork, sportsmanship and help build individual self esteem. We want the club to be as family oriented as possible, so we listen to the athletes and parents.

About The Coaches:
The coaches have over 10yrs of track and field experience in coaching and as an athlete. The coaches have the passion to teach and encourage the athletes and help set attainable goals. We work together to make ourselves and the athlete better. Communication is the key.

Why the Gazelle:
Gazelles are the 5th fastest animal on land. They are alert, slender and graceful animals.
Their genetic design allows them to run for an extended period of time.
The gazelle can leap 10 feet into the air, jump 30 feet in a single bound, and make turns
much faster than any other animal can. The gazelle herds are a big family. They are large in number upwards of 20 per herd.

We believe in the Three E's:
Education:
The coaches and athletes are well trained in the sport of T&F and prepared each week for competition.

Encouragement:
The athlete comes first. You don't have to be the strongest or the fastest to be a winner. If the athletes are fully prepared and give 100% during practice and the track & field meet, then they have already won.

Environment:
Our club is family oriented and inspired by Godly principles.

We believe in the Four B's:
Be Prepared:
We have to be prepared for practice mentally by having the right mindset to work hard, physically by having the right practice gear on and by having eaten at least 1.5hrs before practice and spiritually by having the right spirit when you come to practice, no negativity or bad attitudes.

Be Proactive:
Take advantage of the time at and away from practice. Doing extra (studying, exercises and/or running) will help you achieve your goals as a son/daughter, student and athlete.

Be Persistent:
Keep working at it. Things will get better. Gazelles never stop! Gazelles never quit! Gazelles never give up! We always finish strong!

Be Consistent:
Continue to work hard each day at home, school and practice. We want each athlete to achieve the goals that have been set by themselves, their parents and coaches.

Who Gazelles T&FC if for:
This club is for any child who would like to learn, grow and compete in the sport of T&F.
This club is for any child that don’t have to worry about fitting in. Our herd has plenty of room.

Attitude:
Every person is the architect of their own character.
Attitude is a little thing that makes a BIG difference.
Go over, go under, go around, or go through. But never give up.
The strength of the team is in each individual member...the strength of each member is in the team.
Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow. By Mary Anne Radmacher
The greatest discovery of any generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude. By William James

Encouragement:
Be unafraid to fail and you will undoubtedly succeed.
Live your best today, for it is your only preparation for tomorrow.
The desire to grow is powerful and natural. Find the courage to sacrifice what you are for what you could become.
What we do can make a difference. Regardless of the obstacles, create your own destiny and make a mark others will admire.

Motivation:
If you can’t fly, run…If you can’t run, walk…if you can’t walk, crawl…but by any means keep moving. By Dr. Martin Luther King

Team Work:
Coming together is a beginning...Keeping together is progress...Working together is a success.
Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishment toward team objectives.
